PFAU’s services are aimed at providing academic, communication, and life skills development to young adults and mature students who need extra support making the transition from high school to post-secondary school, into and through their post-secondary education, and eventually into the professional world. Our services fill the gap that exists within the current educational system in terms of academic, social, and practical support and knowledge. We offer three streams of service:
Academic support
Academic editing is focused on the improvement of grammar, spelling, style, flow, and structure of publications, dissertations, and grant applications in all subjects, ranging from Electrical Engineering to Political Science. The aim is understand the general content of the written piece and to help the client to improve his/her overall communication strategy and style after a supervisor and/academic colleagues have reviewed it for content and accuracy.
Our academic writing and essay writing courses are designed to provide high school, college, university, and graduate students with opportunities to read, think, and write critically. Our courses build upon the material taught in a contemporary education environment by focusing on improving analytical, organizational, and communication skills. We have experience providing academic writing workshops to a variety of educational institutions, such as: the University of Toronto, Beijing No. 2 High School (International Department), and Upswing Academy. As well as, teaching numerous high school, undergraduate, and PhD students in our online classroom.
Application support
PFAU provides application editing to help high school, post-secondary, and graduate students present compelling, concise, and creative application content. We ensure client applications meet all requirements, such as: relevant content, appropriate word count, and proofread text.

Professional development:
Personalized Coaching is designed to help each client to improve his/her individual confidence in both written and verbal communication. These lessons are specially designed for both ESL and native speakers in order to improve the client’s grammar, vocabulary, structure, clarity, flow and overall understanding and comfort with the English language. These lessons are designed not only to improve the technical aspects of communication, but also to understand the literary, historical, and cultural context of Western communication. Clients advance from awkwardness and insecurity to natural proficiency and confidence.
Pfau provides resume & cover letter editing to help recent grads and young professionals to highlight their specialized skills and knowledge in order to obtain fulfilling and meaningful work. We help clients to develop a master resume that outlines their full work history, as well as how to tailor their experiences to specific job offers. We also work with clients to develop cover letter templates that can be used for multiple job applications.
